![]() ![]() I’m thinking it may have to do with port numbers, but I can find any information on that. ChronoSync is described as can synchronize, backup, and create bootable backups to almost anything you can connect to your Mac: select cloud services, other Macs, NAS drives, external drives, PCs or anything you can mount as a volume and is a File Sync tool in the backup & sync category. The latter is not true, because I can access the NAS just fine outside of these settings. I keep getting “Settings are invalid or the remote agent is unavailable”. I’ve tried to set up a connection through “Manage connections”, where I have tried numerous different ways to connect (IP-address, afp, smb) and put in my NAS user name and password, but nothing works. But I think it loses the connection after a while, and won’t auto-reconnect. I can manually choose the correct folder on the NAS and then it works fine. I've spent hours auditioning ChronoSync, Arq and CCC the last couple days and I'm learning towards Arq because it works like Time Machine but with more control, so X number of hourly backups, daily backups, weekly, monthly, etc., and I can set maximum archive sizes for each backup as well, plus online backups, all without a subscription and I. My iMac is connected to the network via ethernet. The backup to the Synology NAS fails every day. The automatic daily backup to the USB harddrive works fine. And the NVR reported tbe camera online, I then changed the camera resolution back to. I logged into the camera directly changed the video resolution to minimum. I’m trying to backup a folder from my iMac to an external USB harddrive and to my Synology NAS using Chronosync Express (Setapp). But the nvr reported 'Offline (Parameter error)'. ![]()
